I love creating and building new projects. The relationships along the way have made all the difference.
I grew up in Houston, where cowboy culture meets modernity. Football, tennis, and track filled my days before Economics and Finance took me to the University of Texas at Austin.
In 2013, I followed a few friends to Los Angeles. After brief stints in the corporate world, I knew I wanted to build something of my own. I taught myself to code and started my first business at 25.

That journey led to Aruna, Clover Family Office, and Tributan — businesses across different industries, collectively employing more than 50 people. My first companies were built without outside capital; since then, I’ve invested and raised over $10 million for businesses.
Outside work, I’m an avid reader, traveler, pianist, and Taekwondo black belt. In the skies, I fly aircraft ranging from the A-27 Tucano to the Gulfstream G600 and G650, for which I hold type ratings.

Aviation

The skies are my canvas. I hold Gulfstream G600 and G650 type ratings, fly the T38 and A-27 (non-typed), and have seaplane and tailwheel endorsements.

Travel & discovery

I didn’t leave the United States until I was 23. Since then: 90 countries, 135 trips in total, and every continent except Antarctica. Mountain summits, scuba dives, and group trips with more than 1,500 friends — sometimes 50 on a single adventure.

Books & ideas

A goal of 40 books a year became more than 750 books over 15 years, mostly nonfiction. A few from my reading list:

Martial arts

Four years of Taekwondo as a kid led to my black belt. Rigorous training, testing, and study taught me the balance of physical technique and mental discipline — “the way of the foot and fist.”

Three years of guitar taught me to read sheet music. More recently, I’ve taken up piano. Through RyanG Live, we bring together stand-up comedy, crowd work, and remarkable vocals in a 90-minute musical comedy experience.
